Our Vision
To create a joyful, respectful, and nurturing environment where every child discovers their unique potential, develops independence, and grows with confidence, curiosity, and empathy.
Our Mission
At Unnathi Montessori, our mission is to:
-Foster a lifelong love for learning through hands-on, child-centered education.
-Nurture children into confident, independent thinkers and compassionate individuals.
-Partner with parents in building strong academic, emotional, and life foundations.
-Prepare every child not just for school, but for life.
At Unnathi Montessori, growth is at the heart of everything we do. Unnathi means growth — not just for children, but for parents and educators who are part of our community. We nurture a positive culture built on respect, teamwork, and care, where every child is free to explore and grow into their best self.
Every child learns at their own pace. We support this with individualized learning plans and encourage active parent involvement through workshops, regular updates, and open communication. Together, we ensure your child’s journey is joyful and meaningful.
We follow the true Montessori method with trained guides, mixed-age classrooms, and carefully prepared environments. Children learn through hands-on experiences, curiosity-driven exploration, and independence — building skills that last a lifetime.
Every child arrives in this world with an extraordinary capacity to learn — curious, eager, and completely alive to the world around them. I started Unnathi Montessori House of Children because I believed, deeply and without reservation, that every child deserves an environment worthy of that curiosity.
My journey into Montessori began long before this school did. As an IMC-certified educator, I had seen firsthand what happens when a child is given genuine freedom within a thoughtfully prepared environment — the focus, the joy, and the quiet confidence that follows. I wanted to build a place where that wasn’t the exception, but simply how things were done every single day.
When I founded Unnathi three years ago, I made a simple promise to myself: that every decision — from the materials on our shelves to the words our adults use with children — would be guided by deep respect for the child. Not what is convenient. Not what looks impressive. But what is truly right for them.
Unnathi, which means to flourish, to rise, is not just a name. It is the promise we make to every child who walks through our doors.
At Unnathi, we follow the Montessori philosophy in its truest sense — one that sees the child not as an empty vessel to be filled, but as a natural learner who, when given the right environment, will teach themselves.
Our classrooms welcome children between one and a half and six years in a mixed-age setting — one of the most distinctive and beautiful aspects of the Montessori approach. Here, younger children learn by watching and aspiring, while older children consolidate their understanding by guiding and leading. It becomes a living, breathing community of learners rather than a classroom sorted by age.
Every material is purposeful and scientifically prepared. Every space is designed with intention. Each day follows the child’s natural rhythm rather than a rigid timetable. Our adults observe before they intervene, trust before they direct, and always ask: What does this child need right now?
At Unnathi, the Montessori framework comes alive through the richness of our Indian context. Children move naturally between English, Kannada, and Hindi throughout the day, building linguistic confidence alongside early literacy and growing up genuinely multilingual.
Art, music, and movement are not enrichment add-ons — they are woven into the fabric of our day. A child who creates and expresses is a child who is deeply alive to learning. Time outdoors — observing, exploring, and getting their hands into the earth — grounds children in the natural world in ways no classroom material alone can.
To the parents reading this: I know how much courage it takes to choose a school for your little one. You are not just choosing a curriculum — you are choosing a community, a set of values, and the hands that will hold your child’s world for a few precious hours each day. I don’t take that lightly, and I never will.
In just three years, Unnathi has grown in ways I didn’t expect — not just in numbers, but in the depth of the community we’ve built together. I have watched children arrive timid and leave soaring. I have seen parents become advocates for a way of learning they once didn’t know existed. That is the work I wake up for every day.
Our goal is not a child who is simply school-ready.
It is a child who is life-ready — confident, curious, rooted, and kind.
If you’re considering Unnathi Montessori House of Children for your child, I warmly invite you to visit us. Walk through our environment. Watch the children at work. And let’s talk — because this journey always begins with a conversation.
With warmth,
